Friends, Family, and Loved Ones,

Dad passed away on September 2nd, 2017 at 2:30am. This site was started a little over a year ago to keep you all informed and to share in the inspiration of Dad’s journey as he tenaciously fought a battle for his life. All of the past blog posts will remain available for reflection and remembrance of a truly amazing individual, though these words written during a trip around the sun hold no weight to the man I will always call Dad.

The latest Update on Dad links to a Final Farewell. I will add a funeral information post and tab with pertinent information for those able to attend, and will leave the rest of the site intact as it was originally established.

The Upside of Down is a site intended for family and friends of my Dad, Kevin Harless, who has been diagnosed with late stage “terminal” cancer. Check out this post for more on his diagnosis and how this journey started.

We have received an outpouring of love and support from many of you, leaving us with a tremendous amount of hope and appreciation. Please read this as you consider how to continue to showing Dad your Support & Inspiration.

In an attempt to keep everyone up to date and in the loop, we are compiling information and making it available here. It is our hope that this resource will prove useful while not feeling too cold or impersonal. Please continue to reach out, call, stop by, and we will try to find time to do the same. In the mean time, use the tabs at the top of the page to naviagate to our blog posts, to remain informed, leave messages of hope and love, and share in our quest to savor each precious moment life has to offer.
