Colon Cancer Alliance-Charity Drive Update!

Hello everyone, as most of you saw on my previous post our  company honored me by allowing me to pick this years charity. I chose the CCA, Colon Cancer Alliance. They are truly one of the best with 84% of all donations going to research, awareness and education. Their mission is to eliminate Colon Cancer from top three killer cancer list and with your help we can truly make a difference.

The CCA charity drive is off to good start with 92 donors contributing $19,018 and I want to thank each of you for your “extreme” generosity in support of the CCA. I’m also extremely excited to announce that I was able to encourage our great company, Becton Dickinson BD to match All Employee Donations, dollar for dollar.

This matching is great way for all of us to $DOUBLE our $DONATIONS and perhaps save a life by supporting this great cause.” We’ve already had testimony by 12 people who’ve had a colonoscopy due to our message; 2 of the 12 had pre-cancerous pollops that were removed, and the 3rd was diagnosed at stage 1B, very treatable at this early stage. Please continue to spread the word and get your colonoscopy scheduled today!

For those contemplating a donation, please know that even the smallest donations add up quickly. It truly means the world to me to see so many people supporting the Colon Cancer Alliance. For those who know me well, know that I strive to overachieve in everything I do… I’m hoping we can do the same in support of the CCA. “Together we can make a difference!”

If you are considering a donation of ANY size, here is the link to the CCA Blue Star Website where you can make donations.

We  are planning to leave the charity drive open through the end of this week (Friday 11-25) or perhaps Sunday before we tally up and submit for matching funds. With the significance of the Thanksgiving season upon us, it is a time for sharing our abundance with those around us. I can’t think of a better way to show our true Thanksgiving Spirit then to do so with the CCA, and all of those who will benefit from this great cause.

In closing, I must thank you all again for your fantastic reception at the NSM and for your overwhelming heart felt thoughts, prayers and generosity. They lift me up daily and provide me with a strong sense of drive and positive motivation that I must have to WIN this battle! So, THANK YOU AGAIN!

Special thanks to Lindy Rodwell and Marcy Draves for their constant vigil of watching over me at the NSM, anticipating my every need and making sure the entire evening went perfect. Thank you both.

PS… just had my round 6 for chemo yesterday …. kind of rough but I’m Half Way done with the 12 treatments and ready to get after the next 6 rounds with renewed energy, 11 lbs heavier, and my whole mind, body and soul in tune with our God, His healing powers, and all of your thoughts and prayers.

With Love, Hope, and Prayers

Sincerely yours,

Kevin Harless
