CCA Charity – Final Push!

Here is an update on our success and generosity in support of the Colon Cancer Alliance.

To all of our friends, followers and supporters, I wanted to let everyone know we are close to tallying our final contributions for the Colon Cancer Alliance and calculating BD’s Matching funds. To date we’ve had 96 extremely generous donors raise $19,343. This is an amazing show of love and support for the hundreds or thousands of people facing the same battle I am. Equally important, if not more so, we’ve had 12 people get colonoscopies, 2 of which had pre-cancerous pollups removed and 1 was diagnosed with stage 1B colon cancer, very treatable at this stage. YES, we are saving lives and making a huge difference. For this, “I thank you all from the bottom of my heart!”

As we prepare to tally our totals, I wanted to remind everyone that donations to the CCA are tax deductible and with the matching funds from BD we have time for one last big push to hit a lofty goal of $25k I set on day one of our Charity drive; double this with BD’s matching funds and we could deliver an amazing $50,000 to this fantastic cause. Having said all that and regardless of the final numbers, I couldn’t be more proud of our results, our company match, your extreme generosity and your continued outpouring of love and support.

In closing, I find myself reflecting on the quote above and my adimiration and appreciation for each of you; the truly magnificent people supporting my journey and now the journey of so many more through the CCA. As I said in my short speech at the National Sales Meeting, “this has been the single most motivating and spiritual event of my life.” I owe all of this to my family, to you, and to our God; all of whom have touched my life in so many ways!”

Make no mistake, WE ARE WINNING THIS BATTLE and I continue to draw on your strength and support to fuel my success! Please keep those thoughts and prayers coming as they wash over me like a beacon of hope to power my drive to fight on.
