“Ding,Ding… Round#2”

First let me start by expressing my deepest and most sincere gratitude for all of your thoughts and prayers, it is so inspiring I cannot begin to express the power this provides. I will also mention you’ll notice a drop off in the literary elegance in my posts vs the outstanding writings of my Son Richard.

Round 1 chemo was Aug 8th and I did pretty well for the most part. The chemo sessions are easy, but it’s the 4-6 days following that present the challenges. Major fatigue, no appetite and a handful of side effects…. Unfortunaely I lost the 4lbs I had gained but managed to get one or two back.

A bit of really good news to share is that I had a PET Scan last week and there were no indications beyond what showed up in the original CT scans.

Round 2 stars today, in fact I’m in the chair now.

For those of you that don’t know, I was a huge boxing fan in the 70’s 80’s, and my favorite boxer of all All Time is “Sugar Ray Leonard.” He overcame every obstacle he faced and earned championship belts in 5 different weight classes. IM GOING AFTER THIS WITH SAME DETERMINATION, FIGHT, AND BELIEF IN OUR ABILITY TO WIN!!!

I also want to thank everyone for their incredible generosity! I’m completely overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of your gifts.. Fitbit, Amazon Echo, Custom meal delivery, and a nex Xbox gaming system, just to name a few….  Fun learning and keeping busy!

So to wrap this one up…. I had a wonderful day with family yesterday and had a chance to reflect on the many blessings I have today and the countless memories to be made in the future.

Please do this for me… Make the most of every minute, hour and day … Do something ever day to make someone feel special.
